Primary care data is the single richest source of routinely collected health care data. However its use, both in research and clinical work, often requires data from multiple clinical sites with different health record systems and integration with clinical trial and other types of medical data [1]. Data interoperability is therefore of utmost importance, and is typically implemented using a set of models and mappings [2].
